ABOUT THE ROLE
As an HSE Advisor, you will provide hands-on operational support to our site-based Project teams across EPC renewable energy projects on the East Coast of Australia. This is a 100% site-based role requiring frequent travel and flexibility to meet project demands (typically 5/2 or 10/4 project dependent).
You’ll be responsible for implementing and maintaining our safety management system, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout project delivery.
From onboarding subcontractors and issuing work permits to conducting audits, facilitating incident investigations, and coaching personnel, you’ll play a key role in embedding a strong safety culture. This position demands adaptability, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, high-risk environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE management systems aligned with ISO standards.
- Provide operational HSE support across multiple project sites.
- Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Facilitate training and issue work permits in high-risk environments.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare HSE reports.
- Support project delivery teams to meet compliance and performance targets.
ABOUT YOU - Relevant experience within construction, mining, or industrial sectors, with onsite exposure and experience in high-risk operations.
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (BSB41419) as a minimum
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122) and ICAM, TapRoot desirable
- Issue work permits competency (or willingness to obtain) and experience as permit authority/issuer
- General Construction Induction Card (or ability to obtain)
- Open, unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- First Aid, CPR
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSEQ software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
