About the Opportunity
  
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer to join the Gregory Mine Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). 
  
Duties will include but not be limited to the following:  

• Monitor and optimise the metallurgical performance of the CHPP to ensure optimum operation rare are achieved.
• Ensure product coal quality specifications and customer requirements are met.
• Production reconciliation and reporting.
• Report CHPP performance and assist in the implementation of solutions for deviations from plan.
• Ensure cost-effective use of plant reagents.
• Assist with the development of the CHPP production and maintenance plans.
• Manage process improvement projects focusing on; optimisation of the fine coal circuits, reduction of the tailings thickener rise rates, use of process streams and control of fine coal centrifuge feed solids and cyclone optimisation.    

About you

As the Process Engineer on site, a core focus of your role is to achieve the coal delivery of production against targets through the provision of effective engineering processes supporting the CHPP operations.
  
The successful candidates will display the following skills, experience, attributes and qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Minerals Process Engineering/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience in a Process Engineering environment.
• Process Plant Monitoring, Optimisation, Reporting and Planning experience.
• Familiar with SCADA, Data Historian software (eg. OSIsoft PI) and Production Reporting software (eg. SPIRE, Ampla).
• Ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Proficient in statistical analysis and sampling protocol.
• Proficient in MS Office.

The position is open to a flexible point of hire and open to Residential, DIDO or FIFO options.
