About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety, Training & Wellbeing Coordinator to support and coordinate health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives at our mine. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective implementation of safety systems and providing expert advice to frontline leaders and workers on risk and hazard management. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and deliver the annual Health, Safety, Training & Wellbeing (HSTW) plan, ensuring compliance with Sojitz safety systems.
• Provide coaching and advice on risk management, hazard identification, and safety practices to frontline leaders and workers.
• Promote safety leadership and continuous improvement across the site.
• Collaborate with teams to monitor safety performance and support positive work behaviors.
• Manage the return-to-work process and WorkCover requirements for injured workers.
• Ensure compliance with Sojitz policies, safety protocols, and operating systems.
• Lead incident investigations, oversee SHMS, and manage dust control, hygiene, and hazardous substance compliance.
• Deliver Health & Safety initiatives on time and contribute to system improvements.

About you: 

• Proven experience in health, safety, and wellbeing coordination in a mining environment.
• Degree Qualified or Equivalent Tertiary/work/industry experience in HSTW areas
• RIIRIS301, RIIWHS301, RIICOM301 + RIIRIS402
• ICAM or equivalent incident investigation
• Return to Work and Rehabilitation Coordinator qualifications
