An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Underground Technical Services Superintendent to join a well-established underground coal operation in Central Queensland.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team across ventilation, geotechnical and gas drainage, ensuring technical activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the mine plan.
About the Role

• Lead the Underground Technical Services team across ventilation, geotechnical and gas drainage.
• Drive the planning, execution and continuous improvement of technical services activities.
• Work closely with Operations to achieve production, safety and budget objectives.
• Manage contractors and ensure compliance with site safety and legislative requirements.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing technical team.

About You

• Mining Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Proven experience in Underground Technical Services within the coal industry.
• Strong leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Sound understanding of ventilation, geotechnical and underground mining operations.
• Commercially minded with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Passionate about safety and building a positive team culture.
