The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity now exists at Gregory Mine open-cut operation for an experienced SATS/Dozer Operator to join the team. The position has a heavy focus on dozer-based ancillary tasks that supports production rather than primary overburden removal, whilst supporting the business in achieving our production objectives and maintaining an excellent family-friendly culture.
  
About You
We are seeking an experienced Dozer Operator with demonstrated open-cut coal mining experience. Candidates must have experience operating large production dozers in a mining environment, preferably undertaking SATS activities including dump maintenance, road construction, clean-up around production equipment, rehabilitation and ancillary earthworks.
  
Typical SATS duties include:

• Clean-up around excavators and shovels
• Building and maintaining dump ramps
• Dump edge maintenance
• Floor clean-up
• Drain construction and maintenance
• Bund construction
• Rehabilitation works
• Pad preparation
• Road maintenance
• Assisting with dig face preparation 

Other duties will also include:

• Push overburden
• Maintain spoil dumps
• Construct haul roads
• Shape dumps and batters
• Build safety berms
• Stockpile management
• Rehabilitation activities
• Work around production equipment while maintaining exclusion zones 

You will maintain the following skills, abilities and attributes:

• Proven experience in an open cut coal mine operation
• Experienced in the operations of large production Dozers
• Current RII Statements of Attainment on relevant equipment
• Site authorised Training Transcripts
• Current Standard 11
• Current Drivers Licence
• A strong safety mind-set with the ability to actively identify and report hazards/incidents
