About the Role
 
Located at the Crinum Mine, approximately 50 km north-east of the Central Queensland town of Emerald, the Business Support Officer – Health, Safety, Training & Wellbeing is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely entry, review and integrity of administrative data supporting Sojitz Gregory Crinum’s HST&W team.

The role ensures compliance with company Policies and Procedures, the Safety and Health Management System, and relevant Queensland Coal Mining legislation. In addition, the position is accountable for the timely completion of month-end activities and requires a strong understanding of all administrative functions within a fast-paced mining office environment.
  
Some key accountabilities will include:

• Coordinate and audit all administration and system compliance associated with training activities for employees and subcontractors as required to ensure that all persons working onsite are authorised, appointed and competent to achieve compliance.
• Maintain accurate Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify gaps between current skill and competency level and the required relevant staff.
• Assist in maintaining the sites compliance and operational capabilities through development, implementation and review of TNA’s.
• Provision of comprehensive data entry support to the Training department, including proactive engagement / provision of training packages.  

The successful candidates will have the following:

• Health, Safety & Training Competency (desirable).
• Proven Administration Support experience in a coal mining environment.
• Understanding and use of LMS such as Litmos or other systems.
• Understanding of scope regarding engaged Contractors on site.
• Knowledge of the Black Coal Mining Award.
• Knowledge of the Qld Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and Regulations.
• Open drivers licence.
• Proficient in MS Office.
