We are partnering with a well-established earthmoving and equipment hire business supporting major mining and civil construction projects. This is a rare standalone internal recruitment opportunity where you will run the function, be trusted to deliver, and become the first point of contact for all hiring across the business.

The role
As the Internal Recruitment Specialist, you will manage end-to-end recruitment across the business, with a strong focus on trades and operational roles, including diesel fitters, mechanical fitters, heavy equipment specialists, and operators. You will partner directly with hiring leaders, build talent pipelines, keep hiring moving with pace and quality, and support onboarding to set new starters up for success.
This role suits someone who enjoys taking ownership, making decisions, and running recruitment without the usual corporate red tape or micromanagement.
What you will be doing
• Manage end-to-end recruitment across trades and operational roles
• Act as the first point of contact for hiring managers and leaders across the business
• Source, screen, shortlist, coordinate and interview, manage offers
• Maintain talent pools for current hiring needs and upcoming projects
• Support onboarding and ensure a smooth transition from offer to start
• Improve recruitment flow and candidate experience in a practical, hands-on environment
What we are looking for
• Recruitment experience, agency or internal
• Background in civil, mining, construction, earthmoving, or heavy industry is strongly preferred
• Confident stakeholder management and ability to run hiring conversations
• Highly organised, self-directed, and comfortable operating as a standalone recruiter
• Practical communication style and ability to build trust with operational teams
