We are currently supporting an established engineering OEM organisation delivering specialised maintenance, overhaul and support solutions across aviation and engineered platforms. Operating within highly regulated environments, the business supports a variety of commercial and defence-aligned programs involving complex systems, precision assemblies, component overhaul and sustainment activities.
This opportunity will suit individuals who enjoy practical hands-on work and take pride in seeing maintenance activities through from fault finding and inspection through to repair, overhaul and return to service. Exposure may include turboprop and regional aircraft platforms, defence aviation support environments, workshop overhaul activities, component servicing, troubleshooting, testing and broader MRO functions supporting ongoing maintenance programs.
The broader work scope may include engine and component strip activities, detailed inspections, troubleshooting and defect rectification, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, workshop overhaul activities, component rebuilds, testing and support across operational environments. To be considered, you must possess:
- Demonstrated experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Aviation Technician or similar role
- Exposure across aircraft maintenance, defence aviation, MRO or overhaul environments
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability
- Experience working within highly regulated aviation environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within team environments
- Current Drivers Licence
- Candidates must currently be based within Queensland or South Australia
Highly desirable:
- Exposure to turboprop or regional aircraft environments
- Experience supporting engine maintenance, overhaul and component servicing activities
- Direct exposure to Pratt & Whitney PT6 and/or Honeywell TPE331 engine platforms would be considered highly advantageous and ideal for these opportunities
- Workshop and field maintenance exposure
- Defence and/or commercial aviation experience
- Component strip, inspection, testing and assembly capability
- CASA Part 66 qualifications or relevant aviation trade qualifications
