We are looking for an enthusiastic EAL Assistant to join our vibrant and well-resourced Language faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to be involved in supporting our diverse learners and teaching staff.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

• Supporting teaching staff with resource adaptation, vocabulary lists, etc.
• 1:1 and small group tuition
• In-class support and liaising with teachers regarding strategies
• Supporting/conducting testing of new and returning students
• Administration tasks such as updating Kamar  

Position requirements:

• Proven experience working with EAL learners across CEFR levels, range of year levels, and different cultural/language backgrounds
• TEFL training (or similar)
• An understanding of the New Zealand curriculum, NCEA and IB
• Experience working as a part of a team to support a common goal
