We are seeking a motivated and experienced cricket coach to lead the development of the St Peters 1st XI Boys cricket team.  The key focus of the role will be cricket 1st XI cricketers and promising future 1st XI cricketers.

St Peter’s is one of New Zealand’s leading independent secondary schools, providing a first-class education for 1200 students, including co-educational boarding for 350 students from New Zealand and around the world. St Peter’s is more than a school, sitting on 250 acres, that includes an expansive demonstration dairy farm, equestrian centre, golf driving range, swim school and more, all providing an inspirational environment for the school and wider community.
  
Your role will include:

• Creation of a positive and encouraging environment that fully embraces the St Peter’s School expectations and culture.
• To be responsible for the Boys’ 1st XI Cricket team and assist with a pathway for other potential 1st XI cricketers.
• Support of the whole cricket programme at St Peter’s School.
• To provide, on occasions, support for coaches, other Cricket staff and volunteers.
• Growing links with Northern Districts Cricket and be the Premier Cricket School in the region.
• You will also utilise existing support personal to provide them with access to specialist providers including s nutrition and strength and conditioning programmes.
• Work with the School’s sponsors.  

You will be involved in promoting and marketing our programme to the wider community occasionally, supporting coaches and volunteers as well as in consultation with the team manager, communication and newsletters to parents and families and organising logistics related to events and tournaments.
  
Our ideal candidate is well organised, with experience working in a school or a sports environment and a commitment to high performance cricket. The ability to build solid relationships is a must. You will be an approachable, friendly and clear communicator who has an adaptable professional manner.
