We are currently seeking a passionate Head Teacher to lead our learn to swim School Age programme. This in-water leadership role focuses on coaching school age children and upskilling our wonderful team of swim instructors while upholding high standards of instruction, safety, and customer care.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of swim instructors, ensuring consistent high-quality delivery and professional development.
- Deliver regular staff trainings and support instructor performances through regular assessments and feedback.
- Maintain professional standards, respond to parent enquiries poolside, and help foster a warm, inclusive community.
- Support swim instruction where needed, including occasional weekend shifts and holiday programmes.
- Help to champion our Swim School, identify growth opportunities for our programmes, and actively engage with the broader community.
What We’re Looking For: - Ideally a minimum of 1 year experience in swim instructing or a related field.
- Familiarity with swim teaching platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative, professional approach and a passion for aquatic education.
Qualifications:
- Current First Aid Certificate is preferable.
Working Conditions: - Term time: Monday–Friday afternoons
- Non-term time: School holiday programme hours Monday–Friday mornings (reduced hours)
