As Medical Officer, you'll provide prompt medical care, manage the Occupational Health Centre (OHC), and conduct health check-ups as per The Factories Act, 1948, identifying and preventing occupational diseases. You will oversee pre-employment, periodic, and specialized medical examinations while closely monitoring employees exposed to hazardous substances through health surveillance programs.
You’ll meticulously maintain medical records of employees as per legal requirements and coordinate with hospitals and external providers for specialized care when needed.
Your attention to detail will ensure well-maintained medical facilities, while your decisive mindset will aid in assessing employees' fitness for work. With a strong commitment to compliance and workplace safety, you will uphold The Factories Act, 1948, and Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950 while supporting Bradken’s HSE Policy.
In addition to proactive health education, you will respond to workplace accidents and medical emergencies, conduct medical investigations, and assist in root cause analysis. Preparing detailed reports on occupational health incidents, you will recommend corrective actions while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
You will lead health awareness programs on occupational hazards, ergonomics, and lifestyle diseases while training first aiders and factory personnel in basic life support and emergency response
Technical Criteria:
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- Diploma in Industrial Health or equivalent or AFIH (Associate Fellowship in Industrial Health) certification (mandatory as per The Factories Act,1948)
- Registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or Tamil Nadu Medical Council.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in occupational health in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proven experience in managing Occupational Health Centres while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
- Strong knowledge of industrial hygiene, toxicology, and emergency medical response.
This role will be based in Coimbatore (Onsite).
