What's the Role?

You will lead the Global Product Sourcing Technical team to improve supplier technical capabilities ensuring quality of Bradken’s products. This role includes providing technical guidance, integrating products into supplier manufacturing processes, resolving technical issues, and working with internal and external stakeholders to promote continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Develop the Team: Manage, mentor, and develop the global Product Sourcing Technical team, providing training on technological advancements and foundry process  best practices.
• Technical Project Management: Oversee technical projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, and innovative technology implementation.
• Supplier Collaboration and Process Optimization: Work closely with external suppliers to improve manufacturing processes,  optimise value for both the supplier and Bradken  while stiving to enhance product quality. Conduct technical assessments to ensure supplier capabilities align with Bradken's standards.
• Product Integration: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing excellence, and supplier teams to ensure new product designs are manufacturable and integrated smoothly into production.
• Quality Compliance: Conduct  external supplier audits to ensure compliance with  Bradken’s and suppliers  processes.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze quality data to identify trends, monitor supplier performance, and drive improvements. Provide regular reports on quality performance and technical project progress.
• Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve technical issues to maintain production schedules. Implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Technical Standards and Control Plans: Develop and enforce technical policies, procedures, and control plans to ensure consistent product quality and technical alignment across global suppliers.
• Supplier Qualification: Support the qualification of new manufacturing facilities and maintain a global supplier capability register, identifying risks and areas for improvement.

  

Key Technical Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, or Industrial Engineering
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a focus on process optimization, technical management, or production engineering.
• Experience in leading technical teams and managing projects.
• Direct experience in casting/melting manufacturing and heat treatment processes.

This role is based in Brisbane or Newcastle.
