As a Melting Supervisor, you will oversee charge preparation, melting, alloy additions, temperature control, tapping, pouring, scrap inspection, and furnace/ladle maintenance processes. 

You will optimize workflows and assembly methods to enhance melting and pouring efficiency while ensuring safe practices, machinery maintenance, cost control, and smooth production flow. With strong organizational skills, you’ll uphold work instructions, risk assessments, and ISO quality standards. 
 
You will oversee shift changeovers, job allocation, and employee training in equipment operations. You’ll train the workforce, review team performance, set goals, and monitor energy performance in melting operations 
You will work closely with internal stakeholders to meet production schedules and foster a productive work environment through effective communication, consultation, and regular toolbox meetings. 
 
You’ll manage production and labour resources, monitor confined spaces, and maintain the return colour-coding system. Additionally, you’ll ensure compliance with environmental regulations, maintain equipment records, and uphold safety, security, and accountability standards. 
 
Overall, you will ensure compliance with environmental regulations and site requirements, maintain records for equipment, and adhere to accountability criticality, safety & security procedures 

 
Key Technical Criteria   

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical/Metallurgy /Electrical
• Experience Preferred 5-10 years in the Steel Melting process 
• Experienced in Induction furnace and ferrous Melting 
• Preferred Experienced candidates from the steel foundry 
• Knowledge in report generation 

  This role will be based in Coimbatore
