As our Site Manager, WA Operations, you’ll lead both the Wundowie Foundry and Bassendean operations, joining a global leader in mining equipment solutions.

About the role:
You will step into a pivotal leadership role at Bradken's WA Sites where a significant investment has already enhanced its capabilities. This strategic expansion has increased the site's capacity for critical rotable products manufacture and refurbishments, as well as wear plate liner production, solidifying Bassendean's position as a key player in meeting the growing demand for our fixed plant wear solutions from major Australian mining companies.
You will be joining our team in Perth, in a permanent, site-based role that prioritises your well-being and offers a framework for achieving a meaningful work-life balance.
Your Focus: Lead safe, high-quality product and service delivery across our WA sites, driving excellence in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). Collaborate with internal teams to translate business goals into operational success through structured planning and clear expectations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a proactive safety culture through coaching, compliance, and continuous improvement for injury-free workplaces.
- Lead site operations strategically to achieve production and customer targets, aligning with future business needs.
- Manage site budgets and capital planning with strong financial oversight to control costs and ensure long-term sustainability.
- Build strong internal partnerships (Sales, Supply Chain, Product Development, etc.) to optimize operations and service delivery.
- Develop and implement effective resourcing strategies for labor, contractors, and equipment to maintain readiness.
- Drive production scheduling and planning with Supply Chain to meet lead time and quality commitments.
- Manage employee relations in a unionised environment, fostering trust and open communication.
- Develop site leadership capabilities through feedback, goal setting, and development plans.
Key Criteria - Extensive operational leadership experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering
- Strong understanding of operational budgeting, capital planning and cost control
- Experience leading within unionised environments and driving safety culture change
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles
- Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience
Location: Based in Bassendean, overseeing both Bassendean and Wundowie operations.
