AFTER-SCHOOL NANNY | NORTH PERTH, WA 6006

The Family: A warm, active and social family in North Perth is seeking an experienced, mature and energetic nanny to provide ongoing after-school care for their two boys, aged 8 and 5.

The Family enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle, with the boys involved in various sports and activities. They are looking for someone who is playful, energetic and genuinely enjoys getting involved — whether that means kicking a footy, playing soccer or simply spending quality time with the boys.
The Family is Jewish and would like to find someone who is respectful and comfortable working within a Jewish family environment. No pork products are consumed in the household.

Days, Hours, Start Date & Remuneration:

• Days: 2 days per week
• Preferred days: Monday, Wednesday and/or Thursday
• Hours: Approximately 2:00pm–6:00pm
• The first hour may involve tidying, snack preparation and light household tasks before heading to school
• School pick-up is approximately 3:00pm–3:15pm, followed by afternoon sporting activities
• Duration: Ongoing/long-term
• Start: Ideally 12 October 2026
• Rate: $35–$45 per hour, negotiable depending on experience
• Superannuation: To be discussed
• School holidays: Additional support will be required, with hours and days to be discussed
• Travel: No travel currently anticipated

The Role:

• School pick-up and afternoon care
• Driving the children to extracurricular activities and sporting commitments
• Supporting the boys during their sports and outdoor activities
• Preparing snacks and meals
• Spending quality, engaging time with the children
• Encouraging outdoor play and active pursuits
• Supporting the boys with their afternoon and evening routines
• Light tidying and household duties
• Snack preparation and general kitchen assistance
• Helping to keep the children's areas organised
• Providing additional childcare support during school holidays

The Ideal Nanny:

The ideal nanny will be energetic, playful, warm and kind, with a good sense of humour and a genuine enjoyment of spending time with children.
The Family is looking for someone confident in caring for two high-energy boys who can establish clear boundaries while maintaining a warm and respectful approach. The successful candidate will be able to confidently manage the boys' energy, keep them engaged and create a fun environment where they feel safe and heard. Someone who is proactive, takes initiative and can be flexible when plans change will be highly regarded.
The Family would ideally like a mature nanny with previous professional nanny or childcare experience is important.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Previous nanny or professional childcare experience
• Mature and responsible
• Confident caring for two energetic boys
• Warm, nurturing and playful personality
• Confident setting clear and appropriate boundaries
• Energetic and happy to participate in outdoor play and sports
• Full driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• Comfortable driving children to extracurricular activities
• Proactive and able to use initiative
• Flexible and adaptable
• Comfortable with general household duties
• Respectful of the family's Jewish faith and values
• Comfortable around dogs
• Available for two afternoons per week, preferably Monday, Wednesday and/or Thursday
• Available to provide additional support during school holidays

Hold a valid First Aid and CPR
Hold a valid Working with Children Check
Hold a valid National Police Check
A minimum of 3 years experience working with children
