The Family:
This warm and family-focused household is looking for a caring, kind, and enthusiastic nanny to become a valued part of their family long-term.
The role is caring for their 1.5-year-old toddler, who is a big talker and loves engaging with people. The family describes themselves as valuing family time, the outdoors, and kindness, and they are looking for someone who shares these values.
The ideal nanny will genuinely love children, enjoy getting outdoors, and be proactive in planning fun games, activities, and opportunities for learning and play.
Days, Hours, Start Date & Remuneration:
- Monday, Wednesday & Friday
- 4:00pm–9:00pm
- Start: ASAP
- $30 per hour, negotiable for the right person
- Long-term position
The Role: - Collecting the toddler from daycare
- Caring for the toddler throughout the afternoon and evening
- Engaging in age-appropriate games, play, and activities
- Being proactive in planning fun and creative activities
- Getting outdoors and making the most of outdoor play
- Talking, interacting, and engaging with a very chatty toddler
- Preparing dinner for the toddler/family
- Helping with bath time
- Supporting a calm and consistent bedtime routine
- Folding and putting away children's laundry
- Light household duties related to the child
- Helping with a general house reset at the end of the day
The Ideal Nanny: The family is looking for someone who is caring, kind, warm, and genuinely loves children.
Someone who enjoys talking and engaging with a toddler, is confident taking initiative, and doesn't wait to be told what activities to do will be a great fit.
The ideal nanny will enjoy getting outside, coming up with creative games and activities, and creating a fun, positive environment for the toddler. A naturally proactive person who is happy to become part of the family's routine is highly valued.
Qualifications/Requirements: - Previous nannying or childcare experience
- Experience caring for toddlers preferred
- Caring, kind, and nurturing personality
- Genuine love of children
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Proactive and confident planning activities
- Enjoys outdoor play and activities
- Comfortable preparing simple, nutritious meals
- Confident supporting bath and bedtime routines
- Reliable, organised, and responsible
- Comfortable with light child-related household duties
- Looking for a long-term role
- Valid First Aid and CPR
- Valid National Police Check
- Full driver's licence and reliable vehicle preferred
