NANNY / HOUSEHOLD MANAGER | ST HELIERS, AUCKLAND, NZ
Location:
St Heliers, Auckland
The Family:
This welcoming family has 3 children ages 10, 7 and 3 and a well-established home routine, having previously had two long-term nannies of different ages who were both a great fit. They value consistency, flexibility, and finding the right person to become part of their home long-term.
One child attends a French school, so a French-speaking nanny would be highly valued. The household is busy but well-supported, with a cleaner already in place. Mum works from home at times, so the nanny must be comfortable in that environment.
Days, Hours, Start Date & Remuneration:
- Monday to Friday
- Approx. 1:00pm – 6:00pm
- Start: ASAP (flexible to allow time to find the right fit)
- Hourly rate: From $32+, negotiable for the right candidate
- Long-term position
- Hours may be adjusted slightly once school routines are fully established
The Role: - After-school care for the children
- Potentially transporting one child to after-school activities (e.g. Botany area 5:30–6:30pm) or remaining at home with other children
- Household management support (keeping things organised and running smoothly)
- Light household duties (no deep cleaning required as a cleaner is employed)
- Supporting a calm, structured, and positive after-school routine
The Ideal Nanny: The family is open to candidates of all ages and backgrounds, with the priority being the right fit. They are seeking someone reliable, proactive, and confident managing multiple children and a busy household.
A French-speaking nanny would be a strong advantage. The ideal candidate will be organised, flexible, and comfortable working both independently and alongside a parent who may be working from home.
Qualifications/Requirements: - Previous nannying/childcare experience
- Full driver’s licence and reliable vehicle preferred
- Organised and confident in a household management-style role
- Flexible and adaptable
