Do work that makes a difference
Join an organisation who’s making a real difference to Victoria's energy future. SEC’s passionate people are working to support the transition to renewable energy and delivering affordable, reliable, renewable energy for all Victorians.
We offer hybrid working with offices in Melbourne’s CBD and Morwell.
What your day could look like
You'll work across SEC's growing portfolio of renewable energy and storage projects, taking ownership of key Environmental & Planning Approvals activities to support projects from development through to delivery. Your day might involve coordinating consultants, reviewing technical reports, contributing to approval submissions, and providing planning and environmental advice to help projects progress through critical milestones and investment decisions.
You'll collaborate with project teams, external advisors, regulators, government agencies, Traditional Owners, First Peoples representatives, and local communities to secure project planning approvals. You will drive effective Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement. Alongside managing relationships and navigating approval pathways, you'll contribute to Compliance, Risk & Strategic Planning by monitoring regulatory requirements, supporting environmental and planning obligations, identifying emerging risks and opportunities, and helping shape project strategies that deliver successful and sustainable outcomes.
What you need to be successful
You'll bring a combination of planning or environmental expertise, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic project environment. With experience achieving environmental and planning approvals, you'll be comfortable working across multiple workstreams, building trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders, and providing practical advice that helps projects progress. Experience in renewable energy, major infrastructure, or similarly complex project environments will help you thrive as SEC continues to grow its portfolio of renewable energy assets.
