The SEC is building an enterprising and dynamic team to accelerate Victoria's transition to renewables and help achieve Victoria's renewable energy target of 95% by 2035. We are working together for renewable, affordable, reliable energy for all Victorians.
Your role
As the Test Analyst within our Technology & Data team, you'll take the lead in assuring the quality of every release and change delivered into SEC's production environment across the One Stop Shop digital platform. You'll own end-to-end testing, from defining and executing test scenarios to maintaining clear, robust documentation that gives stakeholders confidence in each deployment.
Working closely with business partners, you'll translate requirements into meaningful test outcomes and play a visible role in presenting results and recommendations to the Change Advisory Board (CAB), helping to ensure smooth, reliable releases every time.
This role can be based in either our Melbourne CBD office or our regional office located in Morwell.
What you will do:
Core accountabilities include:
- Coordinate and manage all release and change activities into One Stop Shop (OSS) production systems.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of test documentation, including regression scripts, test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Collaborate with Consumer Energy Solutions business unit and application owners to capture and document test scenarios and results.
- Present test documentation and results to the SEC Change Advisory Board (CAB) for review and approval.
- Execute test cases, report defects, and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Monitor and track the progress of testing activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance the quality and efficiency of testing efforts including automation.
Who you are: Experiences and Skills: Must Have: - Proven experience as a Test Analyst or in a similar role within a technology team and working with business teams through User Acceptance Testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience testing digital products and consumer facing platforms across web and mobile.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Highly Desirable: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Knowledge of UX design principles and end-user testing frameworks.
