The SEC is building an enterprising and dynamic team to accelerate Victoria's transition to renewables and help achieve Victoria's renewable energy target of 95% by 2035. We are working together for renewable, affordable, reliable energy for all Victorians.
Your role
As an Integration Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and maintaining secure, scalable integrations across our Azure cloud environment. Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you'll connect systems, streamline data flows and enable reliable information exchange that supports critical business outcomes. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in cloud integration will directly shape how our platforms work together and how the organisation leverages data to operate more efficiently and effectively.
This is a 12 month fixed term role.
This role can be based in either our Melbourne CBD office or our regional office located in Morwell.
What you will do:
- Integration Platform - Design, develop, and implement integration solutions on SEC's integration platform using Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management, etc.). Develop a regular development release lifecycle to continue adding value the integration platform and supporting business objectives.
- Collaboration - Collaborate with SEC business units, business analysts and project teams to review, prioritise and scope the integration backlog
- Integration Design & Documentation - Develop a thorough understanding of integration requirements to design solutions that meet business needs. Develop and maintain documentation for integration processes and solutions within the SEC document repository.
- Operational Support - Provider L3/L4 operational support and provide backfill L1 support within the operations team by monitoring and troubleshoot integration issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
- Innovation & Optimisation - Implement a cycle of continuous improvement by optimising integration performance and scalability.
- Learning - Stay up to date with the latest Azure technologies and best practices to ensure the continuous improvement of integration solutions.
Who you are: Experiences and Skills:
Must Have: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Integration Developer, with a focus on Azure cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management, etc.).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and other web services.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Highly Desirable: - Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).

The organisation is partnering with industry to transform the energy sector, opening the state up for further innovation and investments in renewables. This includes an initial $1 billion towards delivering 4.5 gigawatts of power through renewable energy and storage projects - the equivalent replacement capacity of coal-fired power station Loy Yang A, which is set to close in 2035.
The SEC will also play an important role in helping Victorian households to reduce their energy bills and emissions by offering simple and effective solutions to help them switch to electric.
The energy transformation will create thousands of jobs. The SEC will play a role in attracting and training our future renewable energy workforce.
