Do work that makes a difference The SEC is building an enterprising and dynamic team to accelerate Victoria’s transition to renewables and help achieve Victoria’s renewable energy target of 95% by 2035. We are working together for renewable, affordable, reliable energy for all Victorians.
Your role As the
Office Manager at SEC’s Morwell hub, you will be part of a team that will play a key public-facing role helping visitors understand Victoria’s energy transition. You will be a welcoming front-of-house presence with visitors and stakeholders and direct queries to the relevant SEC service or employee. .
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Operations, you will be responsible for operations at the SEC Morwell hub and be accountable for various administrative, coordination, operational and financial tasks to ensure the hubs’ operations run smoothly.
You will be passionate about Victoria’s energy transition, a driven self-starter, who is able to work autonomously and with direction, enjoys a variety of tasks and is able to adapt to changing workloads, deadlines and developments as they arise.
This role will be based in
Morwell.
What you will do: - Undertake key administrative tasks to ensure the Morwell hub functions effectively
- Manage physical facilities and oversee the presentation and maintenance of the hub, including meeting rooms and communal spaces, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and organisation.
- Ensure compliance with OHS and security, in tandem with the corporate People & Culture team.
- Attend to general inquiries and maintain a professional and welcoming front-of-house presence with visitors and stakeholders alike.
Who you are: - Demonstrated experience in managing an office and/or public-facing site, including day-to-day operations, scheduling and coordination
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
- Experience in customer service or community engagement
- Strong people skills, with the ability to build relationships with visitors, partners, and team members
- Comfortable working independently, taking initiative and solving problems as they arise
- Confident using Microsoft Office and basic digital tools (e.g. forms, calendars, CRMs)
- An understanding of Victoria’s energy transition or a willingness to learn about Victoria’s energy transition
Highly Desirable: - First aid training (or preparedness to undertake first aid training)
- Emergency warden training (or preparedness to undertake emergency/fire warden training)
- Experience and understanding of procurement and finance practices and procedures, particularly within a government context
- Experience working with diverse communities including First Nations people, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse groups, to ensure inclusive and equitable engagement.
- Event coordination experience, including overseeing small community workshops, school visits, or training sessions

The SEC will also play an important role in helping Victorian households to reduce their energy bills and emissions by offering simple and effective solutions to help them switch to electric.
