Your role As a

- Manage Ongoing Reporting: Set up and manage the regular delivery of key weekly and monthly reports related to sales performance, customer load, and operational processes to keep the business running smoothly.
- Deliver Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and deliver essential regulatory reports required for our retail energy operations, working to meet the standards set by the ESC, AER, and ACCC.
- Support Customer and Product Initiatives: Use data, cost-benefit, and financial analysis to support Customer process improvements, and to support the business case and the launch of new products and initiatives in market.
- Contribute to Business Planning: Play a key role in business planning and sales forecasting, helping the leadership team prepare financial submissions, projections, and budget proposals that support SEC’s long-term goals.
Who you are: Your capabilities and areas of expertise that matter most for this role are:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the energy sector, ideally within a gentailer or energy retailer, with a solid understanding of retail energy data structures, particularly in the commercial and industrial market.
- Proven experience working with interval meter data, billing data, and customer data to generate meaningful reports and insights that support business decisions.
- Highly analytical with strong commercial acumen, able to translate complex data into practical insights and recommendations.
- Hands-on experience using Databricks and writing complex SQL queries to extract and analyse data.
- Advanced experience in developing interactive Power BI dashboards that communicate key business metrics in a clear and accessible way.
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and modelling skills.
Highly Desirable: - Experience working in the commercial and industrial retail energy space with detailed understanding of C&I unbundled billing, products and pricing.
- Understanding of the wholesale market
- Experience in developing models such as customer segmentation
