Your role Join SEC Victoria and play a key role in delivering impactful energy solutions for all Victorians. As a
Delivery Lead (Project Manager), you will drive key strategic projects within our Consumer Energy Solutions (CES) team, ensuring we achieve our mission of affordable, sustainable energy for communities.
In this role, you will lead and manage strategic initiatives, collaborating with product teams, external delivery partners (vendors), and internal stakeholders across the business. You’ll bring strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, ensuring successful project execution that benefits all Victorians.
This role can be based in either our Melbourne CBD office or our regional office located in Morwell.
What you will do: Core accountabilities include: - End-to-End Project Management – Oversee the CES One Stop Shop scale-up projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables meet quality standards while effectively managing risks.
- Technology & Vendor Management – Collaborate with SEC’s Technology & Data Team and external vendors, including cenITex, to drive successful project delivery and ensure seamless technology integration.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, delivery partners, and external stakeholders, acting as a key liaison to align expectations and resolve project challenges.
- Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure adherence to JIRA and Confluence standards, government compliance requirements, and SEC’s corporate risk register, working closely with legal and procurement teams.
- Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement – Implement and monitor quality assurance processes, ensuring all project deliverables meet or exceed expectations for product owners, designers, and end users.
Who you are: Must Have: Your capabilities and areas of expertise that matter most for this role are: - Relevant Qualifications & Certifications – You have a degree or equivalent experience, with certifications in AGILE, PRINCE2, or PMP being highly regarded.
- Proven Project Delivery Expertise – You have a demonstrated track record of delivering pragmatic, scalable, and cost-effective solutions on time and within budget, using both AGILE and Waterfall methodologies.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement – You are an effective leader, skilled in managing stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and guiding teams with strong interpersonal skills.
- Industry Knowledge & Experience – You have worked in utilities, government (state or federal), or large-scale infrastructure projects, with a solid understanding of governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Technical Proficiency & Adaptability – You are proficient in JIRA, Confluence, Trello, Miro, MS Project, and MS Teams, with a proactive, action-oriented approach that thrives in fast-paced startup and scale-up environments.
Highly Desirable - Experience in the energy sector or other highly regulated industries, with an understanding of compliance, policy, and operational challenges.
- Strong knowledge of the energy transition, including emerging trends, technologies, and the impact on consumers and businesses.
- Proven ability to engage, influence, and manage diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and government bodies.
- Experience collaborating across multiple internal functions, driving alignment and delivering successful project outcomes in complex environments.

This includes an initial $1 billion towards delivering 4.5 gigawatts of power through renewable energy and storage projects – the equivalent replacement capacity of coal-fired power station Loy Yang A, which is set to close in 2035.
The SEC will also play an important role in helping Victorian households to reduce their energy bills and emissions by offering simple and effective solutions to help them switch to electric.
