Your role As
People & Culture Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for assisting the P&C function across talent and onboarding activities, performance and development, reward administration, employee relations, learning and development, general administration, projects and reporting.
The focus of this role will be on owning and creating efficiencies across all cyclical P&C tasks. This will include successfully refining and leading the new starter onboarding experience, as well as auditing and organising the P&C team SharePoint site and ensuring files and documents are stored securely and logically. Key to your role will be supporting the P&C team to build fit for purpose P&C operations aligned to organisational and P&C business objectives.
This role can be based in Melbourne or Morwell. What you will do - Core accountabilities include: P&C Advice - Provide employees guidance and support on P&C-related matters including talent, policies, procedures, reports, processes.
- Triage P&C related queries and escalate to the appropriate P&C stakeholder as appropriate.
- Co- manage the P&C and SEC Careers inbox and triage to relevant business partners as necessary.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding - Working with the Payroll & Administration Officer on new hire and onboarding administrative activities.
- In collaboration with the wider P&C team, refine and lead the new starter onboarding program.
- In collaboration with hiring managers and EA’s, manage the engagement, coordination and onboarding with recruitment agencies on contingent labour hire.
- Support the Talent team in recruitment activities including candidate screens, reference checks, preparing interview guides, scheduling interviews and meeting rooms, and drafting of employment contracts.
Learning & Development: - Support the L&D Business Partner to coordinate training sessions for employees, including scheduling, logistics, calendar coordination and materials preparation.
- Maintain training records and compile reports.
P&C Systems and Document Management: - HRIS (Human Resources Information System - TechOne) data entry and ensuring accuracy of employee records as a secondary system admin.
- Manage P&C files and draft documents, such as contracts, employment variations, flex work arrangements, parental leave paperwork.
- Take ownership the P&C team SharePoint site and ensure files and documents are stored securely and logically.
- Ensure the People Portal site is accurate and accessible.
Payroll - From time to time, assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Act as backup Payroll Officer (training provided).
Who you are: Must Have: Your capabilities and areas of expertise that matter most for this role are:
- Previous experience in P&C coordination or administration with some exposure to tier one advisory tasks.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, corporate.
- Demonstrate integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employee information and P&C-related matters.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing P&C issues, with the ability to propose practical solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in the P&C function, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on responsiveness and professionalism.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
Highly Desirable - Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience using TechnologyOne (HR modules) as a system admin or user.
- Basic working knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members at all levels.
