Do work that makes a difference The SEC is building an enterprising and dynamic team to accelerate Victoria’s transition to renewables and help achieve Victoria’s renewable energy target of 95% by 2035. We are working together for renewable, affordable, reliable energy for all Victorians.
Your role As a Learning and Development Partner at SEC, you will play a key role in building the capability of our workforce. You will support the development of our Learning and Development strategy and lead the delivery of programs that drive growth and excellence.
This includes designing and facilitating learning programs across various topics and leading initiatives to enhance skills and capabilities across the organisation.
This role can be based in either our Melbourne CBD office or our regional office located in Morwell.
What you will do: - Learning Management System (LMS): Lead the scoping, recommendation, and implementation of a fit-for-purpose LMS, oversee training compliance and record-keeping with P&C support, develop e-learning products for core induction, and manage ERP training system data.
- Learning and Development Strategy: Manage the overall strategy, execute Learning Needs Analysis, and lead all phases of capability planning, including collateral development, delivery, and measurement.
- Capability Initiatives: Design, deliver, and measure capability-building solutions using structured methodologies, offering diverse learning pathways such as workshops, online resources, and on-demand support.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and recommend tailored solutions while maintaining strong relationships with external providers and industry bodies to leverage best practices.
- Specialized Training Development: Work with subject matter experts to create and deliver training programs in key areas such as OHS, recruitment, and leadership.

- Demonstrated ability to transform diverse capability needs into actionable and impactful learning solutions, utilizing inclusive design principles.
- Expertise in facilitating engaging, participatory sessions that resonate with a wide range of audiences and promote meaningful learning experiences.
- Proven success in building strong, inclusive relationships with diverse stakeholders to co-create solutions and achieve shared objectives.
- Deep understanding of adult learning principles, including the 70:20:10 model, with the ability to tailor approaches to suit varying learning styles and needs.
- Skilled at navigating changing priorities with agility, maintaining professionalism, and providing responsive, inclusive, and high-quality support to all stakeholders.
Highly Desirable: - Tertiary qualification in HR, Organisational Change, Organisational Psychology, Business, or related discipline;
- Certification in Training and Assessment;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software

The organisation is partnering with industry to transform the energy sector, opening the state up for further innovation and investments in renewables. This includes an initial $1 billion towards delivering 4.5 gigawatts of power through renewable energy and storage projects – the equivalent replacement capacity of coal-fired power station Loy Yang A, which is set to close in 2035.
The SEC will also play an important role in helping Victorian households to reduce their energy bills and emissions by offering simple and effective solutions to help them switch to electric.
