This is a genuinely hands-on Business Partner role in a founder-led, private equity-backed technology business navigating growth, change and complexity in the energy sector. The people function is in a true build phase, and this role plays a key part in bringing structure, clarity and confidence to leaders – while rolling up your sleeves and helping the business move forward in a practical, human way.

Your role in action: - Partner closely with senior leaders and people managers across the Melbourne-based executive cohort
- Act as a trusted coach and sounding board for leaders and managers
- Design and roll out foundational leadership capability (Manager 101 style uplift)
- Support with a variety of day-to-day people matters
- Manage low-volume but important ER matters
- Play a key role in executing a new people delivery model already designed and ready for rollout
- Support leaders through ongoing organisational change and growth
- Contribute to annual cycles including performance reviews, remuneration reviews and compliance activities
What you bring: - Strong end-to-end generalist experience, ideally in tech or product-led environments
- Confidence operating in founder-led or scale-up style organisations
- A commercial, practical mindset with the ability to cut through noise
- Comfort working in growth or scale up environments
- Ability to coach, influence and build trust with stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt your style to different stakeholders
- A calm, pragmatic approach to ambiguity and change
- Curiosity and confidence using AI tools to improve ways of working
- A natural connector who enjoys building culture and capability
