Lead high-level HR partnering to support strategic and commercial outcomes across corporate functions.
What's the brief?Our client, a leading supply chain solutions provider, is seeking a highly polished and commercially astute Senior HR Business Partner to cover a parental leave contract. This role sits at the centre of their corporate head office and requires someone confident influencing at executive level. In partnership with senior leaders across Commercial & Finance, IT, Legal and HR, this person will be trusted to shape people strategy, drive critical initiatives and provide pragmatic, business-focused advice. While the organisation has strong blue-collar operations, this role demands a corporate operator - someone who can navigate complexity, build credibility quickly, and deliver outcomes that align people strategy with commercial priorities.
Is This Your Perfect Match?As a key member of the People & Culture team, reporting to the Head of HR, you will actively contribute to the Group’s strategic vision by partnering closely with senior leaders across Commercial & Finance, IT, Legal and HR. You will play a central role in driving performance and development planning, succession and talent initiatives, and remuneration activities, while also supporting leaders through change programs, workforce planning and complex employee relations matters.
What You’ll Be Driving - Act as a trusted partner to executive and senior leaders across Commercial & Finance, IT, Legal and HR.
- Provide high-level advice on people strategy and organisational priorities to align with business objectives.
- Deliver monthly reporting and insights on key people metrics directly to the CEO.
- Lead the annual performance and development cycle for corporate functions, coaching leaders to strengthen succession and talent outcomes.
- Drive remuneration activities for client groups, including annual reviews and executive reporting.
- Provide pragmatic advice and oversight on complex conduct, performance and employment matters, ensuring fair and timely outcomes.
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, restructures and productivity optimisation initiatives.
- Project manage organisational change programs, ensuring strong governance and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Facilitate talent management and capability uplift, with a focus on succession, retention and executive development.
- Collaborate with peers in OD, Talent, Safety & Wellbeing and Workplace Relations to deliver integrated, enterprise-wide people solutions.
What You Bring - Broad HR generalist expertise spanning workforce planning, ER/IR, remuneration, L&D, performance, talent management and organisational change.
- Demonstrated business partnering experience at a senior level, ideally within logistics, heavy industry or other complex environments.
- A track record of delivering people programs and initiatives that have lifted performance, culture and business outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret operational, financial and people data to provide insights and influence decisions.
- Deep knowledge of HR principles, employment legislation, and contemporary people practices, with the confidence to advise at executive level.
