The Community and Cultural Services team is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Community Development Officer to become a valued member of our team in either Dysart or Middlemount. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to make a meaningful impact within the Dysart and Middlemount communities.  

Under guidance from the Coordinator Community Development and working collaboratively with other Community Development Officers and the broader Community and Cultural Services team, the role is central to the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs, events, projects and activities which align with communities’ needs and aspirations and further Council’s social sustainability goals. The role also monitors community sentiment and prepares reports and other materials for Council.

For this position we offer: 

• Salary $94,446.00 - $101,951.00 per annum (Stream A, Level 4 - 5) plus allowances 
• Full Time, Permanent Position 
• Location: Based in Dysart or Middlemount 
• Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight (Monday to Friday) 
• 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading 
• Up to 14.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement 
• RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
