An excellent career opportunity is now available for a Permanent Full Time Executive Assistant to join Isaac Regional Council, supporting the Water and Waste Directorate based in Moranbah.
In this pivotal role, the Executive Assistant will partner closely with the Director of Water and Waste to deliver exceptional executive support, high level administrative coordination, and proactive project and business reporting. This position offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to a dynamic directorate, support strategic organisational initiatives, and help shape impactful outcomes for the Isaac community.
To be successful in this position, you will:
- Demonstrate exceptional organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
- Communicate confidently and professionally, using strong written and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Provide high‑quality, confidential executive support, ensuring sensitive information is managed with discretion at all times.
- Apply sound commercial judgement to support decision making, project coordination and business operations.
- Confidently manage correspondence, diary coordination, meeting preparation and minute taking with precision and efficiency.
- Utilise advanced Microsoft Office skills to produce high quality documentation, reports and business materials.
- Navigate financial and records management systems effectively, supporting account reconciliation, purchasing processes and compliant record keeping.
- Work autonomously and proactively, using initiative to anticipate needs, solve problems and support the broader Water & Waste Directorate.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, contributing to a collaborative, customer focused and service oriented environment.
- Bring relevant qualifications and experience, including a Certificate III in Business Administration (or equivalent experience) and the ability to meet mandatory pre‑employment requirements.
If you are successful in this position, you will receive: - Salary $90,205.62 - $97,373.54 per annum (Stream A, Level Four – Level Five)
- Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight (Monday – Friday)
- RDO’s in accordance with Council Policy
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- 15 days personal leave per annum
- Up to 14.5% super in accordance with Council Policy
