Part Time Customer Administration Officer - Moranbah
An exciting opportunity exists for a Permanent Part Time Customer Administration Officer in our Water and Waste Directorate based in Moranbah. Reporting to the Team Leader – Customer Administration, the Customer Administration Officer position provides customer service and administrative support to the Water & Waste Directorate.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a minimum Certificate III in Administration or Business (or equivalent experience). You will bring a professional approach to customer service, including the ability to document and follow up on outstanding requests, and you will hold a current C Class Open Australian Drivers Licence.
To be successful in this position, you will:
- Provide high level administrative support across the Water & Wastewater Directorate, including data entry, correspondence, reporting and general office duties.
- Coordinate and maintain operational data systems such as Mandalay, TechOne and Water Management modules, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
- Assist with financial and budget processes, including requisitions, purchasing, expenditure reporting, invoicing and monthly financial reconciliations.
- Provide quality customer service, responding to queries, tracking requests and supporting water conservation education initiatives within the community.
- Coordinate internal administrative workflows, including timesheets, rosters, leave calendars, meeting minutes and register maintenance.
- Liaise effectively with internal teams and field staff to support service delivery, new connections, plumbing requests and operational workflows.
- Assist in preparing communication materials, public notices and marketing content to support departmental initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong organisational, communication and computer skills, with the ability to manage priorities, uphold IMS safety and quality standards, and support continuous improvement.
If you are successful in this position, you will receive: - Salary $40.00 - $43.92 per hour
- Nominally 26 hours per fortnight, as follows:-
Monday: 10:00am > 5:00pm
Friday: 10:00am > 5:00pm
- Pro rata 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- Pro rata 15 days personal leave per annum
- Up to 14.5% super in accordance with Council Policy
