Projects and Contracts Coordinator Waste Services – Moranbah
An exciting opportunity exists for a Projects and Contracts Coordinator Waste Services to join our team in Waste Services. Reporting to the Manager Waste Services, this position is responsible for i) delivery of Waste Management projects, ii) managing Waste Contracts and waste performance management data, and iii) environmental compliance within the Isaac Region.
To be successful in this position, you will:
- Be a confident project and contract manager, skilled at juggling deadlines, resources, and workflows to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Bring strong knowledge of waste management practices and relevant environmental legislation.
- Be tech-savvy, with advanced skills in Mandalay, Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn Council systems.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally.
- Champion safety, applying WHS principles to drive positive risk management outcomes.
- Understand how local government operates and how different departments work together.
- Hold a Construction White Card and a C Class Open Driver’s Licence and be ready to complete pre-employment assessments.
- Ideally, have experience in landfill or transfer station operations, and qualifications in contract administration, project management, or environmental science.
If you are successful in this position, you will receive: - Salary $103,919.64 - $113,191.75 per annum
- Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- RDO’s in accordance with Council Policy
- Up to 14.5% super in accordance with Council Policy
