The Senior Sports and Recreation Officer is a valued team member and has a responsibility to provide efficient and effective support to the Facilities Area Leader, ensuring success both operationally and financially in the Dysart Recreation Centre whilst upholding a level of excellence in customer service.
The successful applicant will also have:
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative support;
- Knowledge of administrative processes, including letter preparation, preparation of documents, email, photocopying, and spread sheeting;
- Willingness to undertaking further training, relevant to sport and recreation;
- Knowledge and interest in Community Services, including providing support to local community events, especially within a sports and recreation context;
- Understanding of full implications of excellent customer service and commitment to its delivery;
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to achieve work outcomes;
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications, applicants may be required to undertake pre-employment testing;
- Good fitness level, with a demonstrated ability to complete position requirements. Applicants may be required to undertake a pre-employment physical assessment;
- Demonstrated ability in developing and delivering a variety of sports and recreation programs.
- Working with Children Blue Card - It is an essential requirement for this position to hold a Working with Children Blue Card. Under Queensland legislation, you must hold the Blue Card prior to commencing employment – No Card, No Start policy. For this position we offer: - Salary $43.92 per hour (Stream A, Level 3) plus allowances pro rata;
- Fixed Term Contract Ceasing Friday 23 January 2026
- Location: Based in Dysart
- Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight (Monday to Friday)
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- Up to 14.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
- RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
