Sourcing an experienced Site/Project Engineer to join this reputable multi national manufacturer located in the Eastern suburbs, Kilsyth.

The role will include but is not limited too:

• Prepare and execute projects and initiatives that will improve safety, environmental, and process performance of the plant including capital improvements.
• Lead and manage maintenance team across mechanical and electrical trades 
• Ensure all Health and Safety Documentation regarding maintenance activities reflects legal and business EHS requirements, i.e. (Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, Manual Handling, EPA, etc).
• Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximise deliverables.
• Report project status and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
• Develop and implement Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) based on best practices is carried out effectively.
• Assist in maintaining equipment repair records, preventative maintenance records.
• Manage the contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and business requirements.
• Work very closely with maintenance team to improve manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
• Assist in planning and prioritising daily/ weekly activities that need to be completed and provide constructive feedback to the team.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
• Assist in annual plant shutdown activities.
• Foster participation in continuous improvement and quality efforts through open communication and a self-directed team approach.
• Work very closely with Maintenance/Engineering manager and site manager and ensure assets used are maintained according to internal procedures and accounted for.
• interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications, and providing advice on engineering methods and procedures to achieve construction and production requirements.
• Prepare and implement monthly reporting, ensure reporting mechanisms are linked to on time on budget delivery and ensure implementation of project management methodology.
• Ensuring engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed

To be successful in the role you will have the following skills and attributes.

• Tertiary Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Qualification
• Minimum of 5 years of Engineering Project experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in manufacturing
• Good project management skills and Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
• Hands on experience of managing multiple engineering projects.
• Strong communication, leaderships, interpersonal, coaching and conflict resolution skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Organisational, planning, and documentation skills
• Ability to have a quick understanding of complex issues.
• Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms.
• Experience in MEX Maintenance software.
• Ability to work well with all levels of the business.
• Creating and implementing maintenance procedures.
• Ability to create, document, and prepare daily progress reports.
• Experience in preparation of capex, project plans and specifications.
• Support Lean Manufacturing activities and events.
• Analyse project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
• Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks.
• Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximise deliverables.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
• Willingness and ability to travel.
