Broad and varied legal work in a highly regulated environment

An organisation operating in a complex regulatory environment is seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to provide additional legal capability while a new in-house legal function is established.

This is a full-time, six-month fixed-term role offering the opportunity to work across a wide range of commercial, regulatory, property, privacy, information management, dispute resolution and governance matters. You'll work closely with senior leaders, providing practical legal advice that supports strategic and operational decision-making.

About You

We're interested in speaking with experienced lawyers who enjoy variety, autonomy and working across diverse legal issues.

You may be:

• A New Zealand admitted lawyer with significant post-qualification experience; or
• An overseas-qualified lawyer who has developed relevant legal, compliance, regulatory, policy, governance or commercial experience in New Zealand.

You'll bring:

• Strong legal analysis and problem-solving skills
• Experience in one or more of the following areas
  • Commercial or property law
  • Environmental or regulatory law
  • Privacy, information management or public law
  • Litigation, disputes, insurance or investigations
• The ability to build trusted relationships and provide pragmatic, business-focused advice
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Salary of $150,000 - $160,000 pro rata
