Remuneration & Reward Advisor | Contract (Hourly Rate) | Wellington CBD

We’re recruiting an experienced Remuneration & Reward Advisor for an hourly‑rate contract in Wellington CBD, starting as soon as possible through to end September.

About the role / Mō te tūranga

You’ll be responsible for a mix of operational and project‑based remuneration activity, including:

• Supporting annual remuneration and market review activity across the workforce
• Leading/supporting job evaluation processes, maintaining job evaluation records, and supporting the job evaluation committee
• Managing and supporting salary progression and providing accurate remuneration calculations (salary changes, allowances and related payments), aligned to policy and collective agreements
• Partnering closely with Payroll, HRIS, Workplace Relations and People Advisory to deliver responsive, practical remuneration support
• Maintaining remuneration data integrity in HR systems and supporting reporting and submissions to external remuneration providers
• Supporting timely public sector information requests (e.g. OIA) through accurate data preparation

About you / Mōu You’ll bring:

• A strong background in remuneration and reward 
• Strong HRIS and data capability, including advanced Excel/spreadsheeting and confidence analysing remuneration data
• Working knowledge of remuneration systems and job evaluation methodology (Korn Ferry/Hay ideal),
• Confident communication, relationship management and planning skills
• A sound understanding of current New Zealand employment law and HR practices
