Salary: $115,000-$140,000 + superannuation
Location: Birtinya, Sunshine Coast
Work style: Permanent full-time | Hybrid work after onboarding (2-4 weeks)

Take responsibility for client relationships and team delivery within an established Sunshine Coast accounting and advisory practice.
 
This Manager position combines technical review, tax planning, business advisory and people development.
 
Working directly with a Partner, you'll help business owners understand their financial position, address challenges and plan their next steps.
 
This vacancy follows the departure of the previous Manager, creating an opportunity to step into an established role and contribute to the team's ongoing development.

The Role
Manage client engagements while guiding accountants through accurate, timely and commercially useful work.
 
Responsibilities include:

• Managing client relationships and acting as a key contact for accounting, taxation and business advice
• Reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and supporting workpapers
• Leading tax planning and researching complex taxation matters
• Overseeing cash flow forecasts, management reporting and advisory assignments
• Delegating work and coordinating workflow, deadlines and team capacity
• Providing clear review feedback and mentoring accountants
• Monitoring WIP, engagement budgets and delivery standards
• Identifying additional services that support clients' business objectives
• Working directly with the Partner on complex matters and team priorities
• Contributing to improvements in systems, processes and client service

What You'll Bring

• At least six years of Australian public practice experience in business services and taxation
• Completed CA or CPA qualification
• Experience managing client engagements, reviewing work and supporting accountants
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and practical tax advisory capability
• Confidence leading client meetings and explaining technical matters clearly
• Demonstrated ability to delegate, provide feedback and develop others
• Strong organisation and commercial judgement across workflow, budgets and priorities
• Initiative and a collaborative approach to leadership

Previous experience in a formal management role will be highly regarded.
