Senior Accountant | Business Services
Salary: $100,000–$110,000 + superannuation
Location: Fully remote within Australia

The Role
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing financial statements, detailed workpapers and income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, companies, trusts and SMSFs
- Preparing BAS and state tax returns, including payroll tax and land tax where required
- Managing assigned jobs through to review stage
- Researching tax issues and contributing to advice for clients
- Liaising with clients, the ATO and other professionals
- Supporting tax planning, structuring and broader advisory work
- Managing deadlines and following up outstanding information
- Using Xero, Excel and other accounting systems to deliver accurate work
- Contributing to process improvements as the practice grows
About Our Client Our client is a growing boutique accounting and advisory firm supporting business owners, medical professionals, property investors and private clients.
Services span tax compliance, business advisory, structuring, cash flow support, SMSFs and property-related matters. Practical advice, responsiveness and technical quality underpin the approach to client service.
The leadership team brings experience across Big 4 tax, international tax, mergers and acquisitions, strategy consulting and private client advisory. That breadth provides valuable context for accountants strengthening their technical judgement and understanding of clients’ commercial decisions.
Regular conversations, daily check-ins and shared workflow lists support collaboration across the fully remote team.
What You’ll Bring - At least four years of Australian public practice accounting experience
- Strong Senior Accountant-level capability across tax and business services
- An accounting degree from an Australian institution
- CA or CPA completed or underway
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across multiple entity types
- Strong Australian tax knowledge, Excel skills and experience with Xero
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence managing workflow and deadlines remotely
- Attention to detail, sound professional judgement and a proactive approach to solving problems
Experience with MYOB AE, LodgeiT or Karbon will be useful but is not essential.
Applicants must currently reside in Australia and hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
