Senior Accountant | Business Services
Salary: $100,000–$115,000 + superannuation | Half-yearly bonuses
Location: Red Hill, Brisbane
Work style: Permanent full-time | One WFH day per week from commencement

The Role
Working across a diverse client portfolio, responsibilities include:
- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
- Preparing BAS, IAS, PAYG and related compliance obligations
- Responding to client queries and building strong working relationships
- Researching tax issues and discussing findings with Managers and Directors
- Supporting tax planning and business advisory projects
- Managing client work and deadlines through Xero, XPM and FYI Docs
- Assisting junior and intermediate accountants where required
- Contributing to accurate work, efficient processes and timely delivery
About Our Client Our client is an independent accounting and advisory practice led by two Directors and supported by a team of 20.
Clients span construction, professional services, healthcare, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, property development and high-wealth individuals. Many businesses turn over between $1 million and $20 million, with several larger groups exceeding $50 million.
Companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs and complex group structures provide varied technical exposure. Across the practice, advisory engagements include acquisitions and due diligence, cash flow forecasting, succession planning, restructuring and CFO-style services.
The fully cloud-based firm is a Xero Platinum Partner, using Xero, XPM, FYI Docs and related systems.
What You’ll Bring - An accounting degree and strong Australian public practice experience
- CA or CPA completed or underway
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance and business services
- Confidence preparing financial statements and tax returns across multiple entity types
- Clear communication and a professional approach to client relationships
- Attention to detail and sound organisation skills
- The ability to manage your work independently and collaborate with colleagues
- A proactive approach to solving problems and developing your skills
Experience with Xero, XPM, MYOB, FYI Docs or BGL Simple Fund will be advantageous.
