Junior Accountant
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 + superannuation
Location: Fully remote within Australia
Work style: Full-time | Fully remote role for an Australia-based accountant

This is an opportunity for a Junior Accountant to join a growing boutique accounting and advisory firm operating on a fully remote basis.
The role will suit someone with 1 to 2 years of Australian public practice experience who wants to keep developing their technical foundations while working in a modern, responsive and advisory-minded firm.
You will be supported by experienced accountants and firm leadership as you build confidence across tax, compliance, client communication, and business services work.
About Our Client
Our client is a boutique accounting and advisory firm supporting business owners, medical professionals, property investors and private clients.
The firm provides tax compliance, business advisory, structuring, cash flow support, wealth and investment advisory, SMSF and property-related advice.
The firm operates fully remotely, with the team working closely online through regular communication, shared workflows and modern systems.
This is a good fit for someone who is organised, communicative and comfortable working from home while staying connected with the team.
The Role
As a Junior Accountant, you will support the team across tax, accounting, and business services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and other entities
- Assisting with financial statements and supporting workpapers
- Preparing BAS and related compliance work
- Helping maintain accurate client records and supporting schedules
- Working with Xero, Excel and other accounting systems
- Supporting research on general tax and accounting issues
- Liaising with senior team members on client queries and workflow
- Building your technical knowledge across Australian tax and business services
This role is designed for someone who wants to learn effectively, respond well to feedback, and build a strong foundation in public practice.
What You'll Bring - 1 to 2 years of experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm
- Accounting degree from an Australian institution
- CA or CPA planned or underway
- Good understanding of accounting and taxation fundamentals
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to Xero will be highly regarded
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
To be considered, you must currently reside in Australia and be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
