Why This Role
This is a senior advisory opportunity with a fast-growing specialist accounting and advisory firm.
As Client Director in the Advisory Division, you will operate as a fractional CFO and strategic partner to growth-focused business owners across the building and construction sector.
This is not a compliance role. It is a commercial leadership position for someone who can constructively challenge business owners, lead funding and cash-flow conversations, and help clients make better decisions about growth, margin, pricing, and financial performance.
For the right person, the role offers strong OTE potential, with a total package opportunity exceeding $300,000, along with a genuine pathway toward partnership or equity over time.
About Our Client
Our client is a specialist accounting and advisory firm focused on the building and construction industry.

The Advisory Division is a major growth area for the business. This is an opportunity to join a specialist firm with a clear niche, strong positioning and a commercial advisory model that goes well beyond traditional tax and compliance work.
The Role
As Client Director, you will own a portfolio of advisory relationships and be accountable for measurable commercial outcomes across that portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary strategic adviser to growth-focused building and construction businesses
- Leading discussions around margin, pricing, cost structure, working capital and funding strategy
- Building structured growth plans and holding clients accountable to execution
- Delivering forecasting, budgeting and cashflow strategy that supports real decision making
- Guiding clients through capital planning, lender engagement and funding conversations
- Challenging assumptions and providing clear, commercially grounded recommendations
- Overseeing reporting frameworks to ensure they are relevant, accurate and commercially useful
- Identifying opportunities to deepen advisory relationships and expand portfolio value
- Contributing to the growth, direction and capability of the Advisory Division
- Leading and supporting consultants, team leaders and accounting team members
This role is suited to someone who can move beyond reporting and become the person business owners call before making decisions that materially shape their business.
