The Role
As Supervising Accountant, you will take on a senior client-facing role across business services, tax and advisory support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and strengthening relationships with a portfolio of clients
- Reviewing financial statements, tax returns, BAS and compliance work
- Supporting tax planning and advisory discussions with clients
- Acting as a key point of contact for client queries and workflow updates
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting accountants within the team
- Delegating and reviewing work to ensure quality, accuracy and timely delivery
- Identifying opportunities to improve client service and internal processes
- Working closely with managers and senior team members on more complex matters
- Using technology, automation and AI-enabled systems to improve workflow, reduce rework and create more capacity for advisory work
This role is suited to someone who can balance technical review, client communication and team support, while continuing to develop into a stronger advisory and leadership-focused accountant.
What You'll Bring - Strong Australian public practice experience in business services and tax
- CA or CPA completed, or close to completion
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
- Confidence reviewing financial statements, tax returns and BAS work
- Experience managing client relationships and communicating directly with business owners
- Ability to support, mentor and guide junior or intermediate accountants
- Strong technical foundations across workpapers, reconciliations, journals and tax compliance
- A quality-control mindset and strong attention to detail
- Sound judgement, curiosity and an interest in the bigger picture behind the numbers
- Confidence working with cloud-based systems and improving workflows
