Manager - Business Services & Advisory

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 + super
Location: Hope Island (Gold Coast), QLD
Work style: Office-based with flexibility; occasional WFH as needed

This is a leadership hire driven by growth and capacity. The firm is continuing to scale its team structure and wants an experienced Manager who can lead delivery, mentor seniors and intermediates, and own client outcomes without being micromanaged.

About Our Client
Our client is an established accounting and advisory firm located in Hope Island, offering integrated services across accounting, tax, business advisory, financial planning and finance.

The group is substantial (circa 50 staff across the broader business) and structured with specialist support functions, including admin support, a sizeable bookkeeping team, and dedicated SMSF expertise.

The Role
This role is ideal for a Manager who enjoys balancing client leadership with developing people and improving workflow.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing delivery across a portfolio of SME and complex clients
• Reviewing financial statements and tax returns prepared by the team
• Leading tax planning and advisory discussions through the year
• Acting as the key point of contact for clients, with Partner support as needed
• Mentoring seniors/intermediates and lifting capability across the team
• Supporting workflow management and resourcing as the firm grows

The firm operates with team-based delivery models and is actively building additional teams to support continued expansion.
 
What You'll Bring

• CA or CPA qualified
• Proven public practice experience at Manager level (or a ready-to-step-up leader)
• Strong technical background across business services and tax
• Confidence running client relationships and managing delivery end-to-end
• Demonstrated leadership/mentoring capability
• Commercial mindset and clear communication style

Systems & Ways of Working

• Cloud-based practice with modern workflow and document management
• Xero and FYI Docs are core to how work is delivered, with supporting systems across the group
