Senior Accountant - Business Services & Advisory
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 + super
Location: Hope Island (Gold Coast), QLD
Work style: Primarily office-based with flexible start/finish times

You'll work in a structured team model with strong support around you, including da edicated admin, an established bookkeeping team, and SMSF specialists, so you can focus on accounting and advisory work.
About Our Client
Our client is a reputable accounting and advisory firm based in Hope Island, offering accounting, tax, business advisory, financial planning and finance services under one roof. The group has around 50 staff across the broader business, with a large accounting division and specialist teams supporting delivery and workflow.
The office is located at Hope Island Central with free onsite parking and convenient local amenities.
The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality compliance and advisory outcomes while supporting the development of the junior team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns
- Managing compliance engagements across companies, trusts and business clients
- Handling client queries and building long-term client relationships
- Supporting tax planning and advisory work through the year
- Coaching juniors and intermediates within your team structure
- Working closely with your Manager, and escalating to Partner where required
This role includes client interaction and is suited to someone who can operate with autonomy while still collaborating closely with their team.
What You'll Bring - CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion)
- Strong public practice experience at Senior level
- Confidence dealing directly with clients (phone and face-to-face)
- Solid technical grounding across business services and tax
- Strong workflow management and attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Systems & Ways of Working - Cloud-based practice with modern workflow and document management
- Xero (clients and tax), FYI Docs, BGL products across key service lines
- Team-based structure designed to support training and progression
