Senior Tax Manager - Tax Strategy & Advisory

About the Firm
Our client is an established Melbourne-based accounting and advisory firm delivering tax, accounting and financial services to individuals, business owners and private groups. With continued growth and a strong technical reputation, they are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead complex tax engagements and contribute at a strategic level.
 
About the Role
This is a leadership position suited to a technically strong tax professional seeking influence, client engagement and progression.
 
You will oversee complex tax matters, provide high-level advisory services and support the development of the broader tax team.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading tax compliance and strategic tax planning engagements
• Reviewing tax returns for companies, trusts, SMSFs and high-net-worth individuals
• Providing structuring and advisory recommendations
• Managing client relationships at senior stakeholder level
• Mentoring and developing junior and intermediate accountants
• Ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with current legislation

This role offers leadership visibility, client autonomy and strategic influence within a growing practice.
 
About You

• CA or CPA qualified
• Strong technical expertise in Australian taxation
• Demonstrated experience managing complex tax engagements
• Leadership capability and mentoring experience
• Commercially minded with strong communication skills
• Comfortable working directly with sophisticated clients
