About the Firm
Our client is a high-profile boutique firm located in Melbourne's CBD, advising complex local and international clients. The firm integrates accounting, tax, wealth and lending services, allowing accountants to operate beyond compliance and contribute to broader strategic outcomes.
 
With continued growth and expanding client demand, a newly created Senior Accountant position is now available.
 
About the Role
This role is designed for a Senior Accountant ready to accelerate into leadership rather than remain in a purely compliance-focused structure.
 
You will manage sophisticated client engagements, contribute to advisory discussions and work directly with Partners in a firm that has a clear progression framework with performance-based advancement.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Managing complex compliance engagements across companies, trusts and high-net-worth groups
• Reviewing financial statements and tax returns prepared by junior staff
• Supporting tax planning and strategic advisory engagements
• Identifying risks and advisory opportunities within client portfolios
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients and external stakeholders
• Collaborating closely with Managers and Partners on high-value work

You will gain exposure to large and complex clients with turnover exceeding $300m.
 
About You

• CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion
• Strong public practice experience in business services and tax
• Confident managing client relationships independently
• Technically capable with interest in advisory work
• Clear communicator with commercial awareness
• Motivated to progress into Manager and Senior Manager roles
