About the firm: Our client is a high-profile boutique firm located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. Servicing large, prestigious clients, we are searching for two experienced candidates to join the team and embark on a life-changing career. Offering a range of services, including accounting & tax advice, wealth management, loans & finance and private family management, there are significant opportunities for candidates to learn and broaden their accounting skillset.
About the position:
Prepare income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts.
Prepare Business Activity Statements and state tax returns, such as payroll tax and land tax.
Prepare financial statements and income tax returns to the review stage, including the preparation of detailed working papers
Researching and consulting on a range of tax issues and drafting tax advice for our managers and partners.
Liaising with the ATO, OSR, clients, and other professionals to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks.
The ideal candidate:
A degree in accounting from an Australian institution
Completed or working towards a CA/CPA qualification.
At least 1 year of experience in an Australian accounting firm.
Experience using MYOB AE, Xero and Excel
Strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation fundamentals
