About the Position:
Whilst not exhaustive, the Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for:

• Preparing Income Tax Returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies.
• Preparing Interim and Year End Financial Statements.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) and
• Preparing Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Payroll Tax returns.
• Leading and managing a team of Accountants.
• Meet and communicate directly with clients to manage queries.
• Monitor compliance deadlines and lodgement due dates for clients.
• Regularly liaise with the ATO and other government authorities

 
The Ideal Candidate:

• Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or similar i.e. Commerce, Business etc.)
• Preferably CA/CPA qualified, or working towards
• Possess excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
• Maintain a strong work ethic and be keen to advance your accounting career
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of XERO, Excel, MYOB
• Extensive experience in dealing with taxation structures, Division 7a, CGT, small business concessions, superannuation etc.
• Experience reviewing jobs started by juniors, and provide training, mentoring and direction
• Experience with budgeting, cash flows and other management accounting
