Based in the Brisbane southwest suburb of Seventeen Mile Rocks, our client is a family-owned company specialising in the electric motor repair industry for 60 years. With decades of experience offering quality products and services like rewinding & repairing AC/DC motors, alternators, transformers, brake coils, pumps and more. We are offering a part-time 12-month maternity leave contract with the high possibility of permanency at the end of the contract.
 
About the role:

• Conduct company audits and ensure overall compliance
• Ensuring the site complies with all current legislation and codes of practice
• Preparation of SWMS and JHA's
• Conducting risk assessments for projects and company
• Completion of onsite audits and inspections
• Organising site safety meetings
• Develop and establish forward-thinking HSE processes
• Preparation of reports for management
• Management and reporting of incidents
• Management of overall company HSE, and
• Management of safety systems

 
Essential Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a Health & Safety role
• Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety preferred
• ISO9001/ISO14000 accreditations essential
• Current drivers licence 
• Knowledge of current HSE legislation, acts, code of practice and regulations
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Proficient computer skills across the Microsoft package
• High level of attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve
• Positive attitude and approachable demeanour

• $70,000 - $75,000 plus superannuation, pro rata
