The Role:

• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and Centre-wide financial updates while ensuring strict compliance with university funding regulations
• Oversee Centre grants, partner organisation funding, and monitor budgets against expenditures to maintain financial integrity
• Handle journal entries and collaborate closely with finance teams to guarantee precise allocation of funds
• Liaise with central finance, research departments, and other teams to provide expert financial advice and support
• Prepare detailed financial summaries for inclusion in the annual report, showcasing the Centre’s fiscal performance
• Offer financial advice to managers and new staff, fostering financial acumen within the Centre
• Monitor and analyse changing or emerging financial and administrative situations, offering tailored advice and solutions
• Adhere to and promote the university’s health and safety policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties related to reporting, funding, and budgeting as needed

  
The ideal candidate:

• Ideally have experience within the education sector, preferred but not essential
• A relevant degree with proven experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated success in managing budgets and delivering comprehensive financial reports, with experience using systems like Concur being highly desirable
• Exceptional ability to engage and collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels
• Proven leadership abilities, coupled with enthusiasm, problem-solving expertise, and a proactive approach
• Expertise in financial and administrative systems, including high-level reporting capabilities
